A fascinating flower - captivating, timeless - universally recognized as an emblem of beauty and celebrated in thousands of myths and legends. A rare plant, slow growing but long lasting, able to live over 200 years and bear astonishing and magnificent flowers every spring.
A root, rich in active ingredients, used for millenniums in traditional Chinese medicine and now finally utilized as a precious ingredient in beauty treatments designed to fight the signs of aging.
The Centro Botanico Moutan (Moutan Botanical Center), specializing for over 20 years in the study and research of Chinese tree and herbaceous peonies, has gathered a vast collection: 200,000 samples of all known species and varieties.
